 All of the So Close Series come with an ANSI (American National Standards Institute) Rated and APPROVED (means it passed the United States standard ratings for optical clarity, impact resistant and Luminous transmittance) AND the NEW and IMPROVED Anti Fog, Anti Scratch and UV coated Lenses. The new AF+AS+UV Coated lenses meets or exceeds EN166, ASTM F659 anti-fog performance specifications and Falling sand (ASTM D968) and Bayer abrasion resistance (ASTM F735.81-Modified) test. Independent evaluation confirms our NEW coatings are superior to other formable coatings and silicone hardcoats. In Taber abrasion (ASTM D1044) test, the abrasion resistance outperforms any other formable coating. The NEW and IMPROVED anti-fog and anti scratch coatings are retained even after extended water immersion or repeated cleaning. No other commercially available anti-fog technology offers this level of long-term effectiveness and durability. In other words, the lens won't fog up as long as you aren't fishing in temperatures colder than -4 degrees or hotter than 122 degrees, the coating will last a looooooong time AND you can wash it and wipe it however you want to.
